Just watched this for the first time since I'm quite looking forward to the remake. Pretty silly and dated, but still quite a lot of fun. Can understand now though as to why some people are being quite optimistic about the remake.
Doesn't seem right to darken the tone of it and change the character of Charley so that he's more popular and well-known. Maybe it'll prove me wrong me and work somehow, but at the moment I've lowered my expectations.
