Review of Fright Night (1985) by Matthew K — 25 Aug 2011
Cult eighties classic in which an ordinary high-school kid becomes convinced his next-door neighbour is a vampire, and enlists a washed up last-nigh horror actor to help him defeat him. Drawing on the Hammer and Grindhouse-era incarnations of the vampire as its influences, Fright Night is a great piece of camp eighties fun, and an essential addition to any Halloween film marathon.
