Review of Fright Night (1985) by Bryan P — 10 Sep 2011
This has got its moments but the movie is a pretty dated affair overall. The actors are pretty forgettable, the cheesy 80's synth-pop soundtrack is a product and exclamation mark on all that was wrong with popular music in that decade and the horror and blood factor is overly tame.
The story is good and it's a great idea for a vampire flick, and while it does have its moments, see the new version out this year for an example of how to do this right.
