A highly recommendable self-aware horror-comedy with visual spectacle that still awes 25 years later. The protagonist is flawed and goofy in a way that makes him worth cheering on, and a surprising scene that exhibits the vampire/loss-of-innocence metaphor in the best possible way is oddly breathtaking.
