Review of Friends with Benefits (2011) by Chelsea G — 25 Jun 2012
Acting alone was horrible (mainly on timberlake's part-who thought he could play a cynic?) but the writing wasn't great either. They both actually say "I'm emotionally damaged" and then open up to each other as soon as the opportunity appears.
At one point, they watch a movie which is an absurd satire of rom-coms which is supposed to show that "the movie you are watching is not like this, this is unique".
But never is.
Purely formulaic.
