Review of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) by Thomas S — 01 Apr 2008
This is by far the best sequel in the series. Some people say it was part 2 and I say that movie sucked. This film has everything you need. Jason in his hockey mask from start to finish, non stop nudity, crispin glover, corey feldman, and the return of TOM SAVINI to the credits.
Tom knows his blood and guts and it shows for this film had the best killings in the series next to the decapitation of jason's mother in the first film.
I would say this is the best film of the entire series but I can't because although this was entertaining, it was really just formulaic with a plot twist of nerd gets the girl. The first one takes the cake for being more original.
One mistake, this should have stayed the final chapter. They left the ending open for a sequel involving SPOILERS a possibility of Tommy Jarvis to start the killing himself but they decided otherwise.....Halloween made the same mistake with their fourth chapter...whatever, its a Friday the 13th.
