Review of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) by Brian P — 12 Aug 2008

Don't let the title fool you, Jason is mostly on a boat rented by a graduating high school class (What! I want to go to that school. We just got to hang in the gym). Jason kills some people including a rocker chick, a guy who looks like Dana Carvey in "Wayne's World" and a young Kelly Hu (no joke, she is in here).

Then the land in Toronto standing in for New York where, this being Hollywood New York, is filled with gang members, drug dealers, and jaded New Yorkers. You do see the real New York for maybe 3 minutes on screen.

The end is also very confusing and plain dumb.
