No thrills. No scares. No gore. No entertainment. Jason Takes Manhattan has the dreadfully inept filmmaking that is standard for the Friday the 13th franchise. Its title, however, hoodwinks the audience in two ways: 1) It mostly takes place on a cruise ship instead of Manhattan 2) it holds back a great deal on the gore which the series is known for.
Lacking suspense with boring and tame kills this film is unexciting for everyone. Fans are sure to be disappointed and haters unchanged.
