Review of Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood (1988) by Mark S — 21 Oct 2010

The 7th installment into the friday series involves a girl who has the power of telekinesis. she kills her dad as a little girl on crystal lake.. then when older she returns to crystal lake with her mother and her shrink. she tries to resurrect her dad from the murky depths but instead resurrects jason who has been chained up to a boulder at the bottom of the lake as fish food for umm probably 2 years?

Once again mayhem bestows. people die.. blah blah blah.

I still dont understand why people would want to go skinny dipping in that lake, and the fact that the FBI hasnt been involved in shutting that lake down for good.. go america.

Why does jason kill everyone tho? who knows maybe it has to do with his disgust for the pre-marital sex teenagers have been having on his old stomping yard.

My favourite part was when the nerd girl gave herself a makeover to get the attention of a guy she liked that was staying at the cabin with her.. makeup doesnt hide the fact that your head is badly misshapen like that rocky dennis kid from mask. no one loves you. now jason will kill you.

Also some nerdlington in the cabin was writing stories about space this and space that... I wonder if hes the boner that wrote jason x.. im going to have to check into that.

I still chuckle that everyone of these movies at least has 1 person getting thrown thru a window so that jason could make his entrance.

Friday numero 7 is also the first time that we are introduced to kane hodder, a worldwide legend of portraying serial killing mutants and whatnot in horror movies.. imdb also stated that this was almost his last movie, where as when filming the scene where he falls backwards down thru the steps, he almost struck a step that wasnt fake and almost crushed his skull.

Storyline was kinda shitty.. telekinesis? ehh.

But the makeup on jason was awesome.

Ending was dumb.. she just summons her father and he shows no sign of fish predation and he takes jason back down to sleep with the fishes...

I think jason should take a trip to new york in the next one.. oh wait he does.
