Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Paladin Of Odin — 02 Mar 2009

After taking a machete chop to the neck, Jason is resurrected by the love for his mother to continue his murderous ways. Originally released in 3D, there is no shortage of items coming toward the screen, which seems kind of odd with standard 2D viewing.

With the third installment in the series, we begin to see a sign of things to come. Jason obtains his beloved hockey mask and goes into auto-pilot killing mode, characters get less likeable and campier, and Jason somehow manages to get unlimited 1-UPs and begin his strict policy on not staying dead.

There are some memorable scenes in 'Friday the 13th Part 3', but the spirit that made the first two movies special is beginning to fade away.
