Review of Friday the 13th Part III (1982) by Orlando D — 11 May 2012

Picking up where part 2 left off. Chris(Dana Kimmell, one of the better F13 heroines.)invites her friends over to the family vacation home in Crystal Lake over the weekend and Jason is the unexpected house guest, who fed up with the bad acting kills the amateurish cast.

While storywise is nothing, it adds a silly subplot involving Chris being attacked prior to the events here. Many fans of the series tend to dislike this one, but I like it for it's disco-style musical score, the usage of the gimmicky 3D and it does have a great showdown between lone survivor Chris and Jason that is intense(directed again by Stephen Miner, who did part 2) it does have that annoying shock ending that really sucks.

Still a worthy follow up to part 2.
