Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Bruno L — 15 Sep 2010
Great. The movie is significant because it first introduces us to the character of Jason Voorhees, who for better or for worse, has become synonymous with the modern slasher movie. This is both chilling, a bit scary, and quite bloody for the time period.
It is is completely genuine in that its sticks to the story; young camp counselors, barely out of their teens, being hunted and murdered for almost no reason at all, for an entire night. This movie is truly a teen slasher at its finest.
