The iconic horror villian, Jason Voorhees, makes his first apperence (as the killer) in "Friday The 13th Part 2" This movie has the same basic story/formula in this film as the first: kids, boobies, blood, death and a shit load of screaming.

So, there's something to be said about reviewing slasher films: it's hard because I'm a huge F13 fan. With that said, this movie is pretty bad. Was it fun to watch? Yeah, it was! Did I jump at a few parts? You bet! Was this a good movie? No.

The goodness of the film comes from suspense and atmosphere. There were moments where I jumped and there were moments where I got creeped out. The other good thing about this movie are the deaths. The effects are great fun. They may look "fake" but i'll alwayz prefer these effects over CGI effects.

And while I may have been scared sometimes, most of the film is very predictable and has a very low production value. The acting is off and on, the plot is too simple-minded, the directing, editing, lighting, etc. were okay and the ending made no sense whatsoever.

So, bottom line, "Friday The 13th Part 2" is a mixed bag. However, the negatives drag this movie down BIG TIME. If your a Friday The 13th fan, you'll most likely enjoy this movie for the same reasons I did. If you are ANYONE else, you will hate this movie so much, you'd prey that this is the last film of the series.

-Peace! :D.
