Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Carlos S — 13 Jul 2012
Some would say that Part 2 is the real start to the Friday series because we are introduced to Jason as the psycho. This does follow on nicely from the first, clearing up the "loose ends" so we can get into the new story.
There is not a lot new plot here, teenagers at a camp get killed off one by one by a faceless killer. But there is a real creepy feel to this, I'm not sure what it is ,but it makes it stand out in the series for me.
Again, the gore is pretty minimal, but well done and there are some great kills (the machete in the face that ends in a fall down some stairs is great).
So, not as good as the first, but still worth a look if you like the genre.
