Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Jason — 07 Jan 2009
This is a great sequel to the original in the best slasher-type horror series of all time. This second time around, it's Jason Voorhees that goes on a killing spree at the nearby lake. A new group of counselors are told of the legend of Jason but aren't sold on it and have a good time anyway.
In many ways, this movie is better than the original, which was also great. It has more killing in it and it's a lot closer to being scary. The classic background chant of Jason, along with his surprise appearances will keep you glued to the screen. Nice effects in parts too, like when one of the girls finds Jason's deceased mom's head and uses it to make Jason believe it's his mom talking to him.
