Review of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) by Senor C — 02 Jun 2010
Of the original 4 Friday the 13th movies part 2 was the last one I saw & it constantly grows on me even after 25 years (I probably watch it about every 6-8 months more then any F13th flix). Heavily influence by Twitch of the Death Nerve (the double impalement) & The Town that Dreaded Sundown (Jason wearing a gunny sack) it combines a great sense of suspense w/ a high body count beautifully orchestrated w/ a great Harry Manfredini score.
A staple of my youth that I would love to see uncut some day. Hopefully Paramount will release the 48 seconds that were cut to avoid an X rating but Im not holding my breath..They're real sons of bitches about releasing this series in its uncensored forms.
