Review of Frida (2002) by Lemuel M — 02 Oct 2009
Prepare to be seduced.
A movie full of passion and effort. Visually and entertaining. Frida Kahlo's painting coming to life. One of the best biopic. The director was able to make the intriguing life of Frida Kahlo interesting. It was as colorful as Kahlo's paintings. Salma Hayek did a great job in this film. She deserves an Oscar award. She should have won. The only thing that I was bothered was Alfred Molina being teamed-up with Salma Hayek. We couldn't blame the casting director, it's Frida Kahlo's choice to love Diego Rivera. But anyway it was a good film. Watch it.
