Frida Kahlo, an eccentric artist who was played brilliantly by Salma Hayek, in arguably her best film role to date. It's a movie that makes you more fascinated about the film's subject long after its conclusion, and if you are a fan of surrealist art, you may find yourself looking up more about Frida.
If a film helps you to do that, I'd say it's successful.
