Review of Frenzy (2015) by Raja N — 29 Apr 2009
If only Alfred Hitchcock was still in this era directing movies......Frenzy, being one of his latest works, still matches his older masterpieces. Moreover, Frenzy got one of the most rich and intelligent screenplays and keep on creating tension and excitement throughout the whole running time.
The second rape scene involves one of the best shots in cinema history when the camera simply tracks backwards down a staircase, without hearing any screaming or yelling. Hitchcock knows perfectly how to unease his audience and does so by the disgusting meals the commissioner's wife offers.
All in all, it's one of the best thrillers ever, and shouldn't be missed. Definitely worth checking out.
