Review of Frenzy (1972) by Anis T — 21 Oct 2008
Hitch is clearly a master filmmaker, a genius of cinema whose innovative storytelling techniques are mimicked to this day. That said, this later thriller from the man, though a superb piece of filmmaking, doesn't truly stand out, simply because you know he could make a really good movie in his sleep.
This doesn't have the edginess and brilliance of some of his masterworks, but is nonetheless a tightly wound, superlative thriller.
