Review of Freedom Writers (2007) by Karl D — 25 Apr 2010

This movie once again made me question my blind dislike of 'based on a true story' films, and my tendency to write them off as sad fare with nothing to offer me but tears - a compelling cast of people who aren't so much acting as portraying that guy or girl you knew in school, this is a movie that will give those of you out there with little hope for the future a bit more bounce in your step.

I highly recommend this to anyone who had that 'one' teacher that made the difference, and to all teachers who ask themselves the question 'Does it matter what I say? Do they learn?'.
