Review of Freedom For Birth (2012) by Kimberly M — 12 Jan 2014
Amazing story! A must see for anyone who cares about human rights, especially human rights in childbirth! The story is based on a midwife in Hungry who was imprisoned for practicing midwifery, which is illegal in Hungry, and one mother who fought for her right to have the option to choose her place of birth and care provider of choice without persecution.
This film reveals a sobering reality that birth has become property of the medical model, world wide. Women have lost the power to be the final decision makers of their, bodies, babies, and birth to technology and obstetrics.
