Review of Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (1995) by Marko G — 08 Oct 2009
The sequel to Free Willy adds new characters and has a lot more ideas. However the film does not seem to have the focus as the first and I felt the ending was not as climatic as the other one. Overall, the film was not as bad as I expected because it does have some genuine good moments and for a sequel it keeps with the story and progresses it further.
I was not as disappointed as I thought I was going to be. There were some odd scenes including one where Jesse uses his flashlight to get Elvis but Elvis says "gotcha" as though he was waiting for him.
The scene is like 15-20 second long I think and it ends right after that and it makes no sense. They did have an awkward relationship though and I thought the idea of Jesse getting a brother was a god idea to get some new ideas into the film.
