I saw this film last night and to say I was never moved so deeply by a film is an absolute understatement. Everything about it is superb. If it doesn't get an Oscar or two would be a major travesty. Or maybe it would just be another telling sign of our continuing human decline. I am particularly disturbed by the negative reviews so many of the so-called critical reviewers have given the film. Could it be that their judgements are negatively influenced by their own fear of seeing truth? Or maybe it's something deeper, that the film uncovers the ignorance and hatred that lies within the hearts of those who refuse to see the truth because it diminishes their own sense of self importance. Or perhaps it's simply a reflection of the dumbing down of our species.

The Free State Of Jones forces us to look at the truth that our history teachings have failed to clearly show us: that war is always about the money.
