Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by Stephen B — 17 Apr 2011
This film was the first decent sequel since the third Nightmare in my own opinion. It had the style and the substance back in it and Freddy was finally back to his previous format of killing. Whilst this film is still not scary, I liked the story because it went into Freddy's own history which is something this franchise has failed to do since film one.
The characters were good again for me except for Leslie Deane's because she irritated me throughout the whole ordeal of the film. The ending, however, was a little too cheesy and the acting overall was a bit wooden if anything.
Nowhere near the best but better than the fourth and fifth.
