Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by K S — 01 Oct 2008
This might as well have been billed as a comedy/action film. By this point Krueger was a staple in pop culture and the thrill of being scared had since died away leaving the campy romp. The acting is awkward and the story formulaic. Englund is as entertaining as ever with some memorable quotes. It would take Wes Craven with 1994's New Nightmare to bring the series back full circle though.
By the way...was Roseanne and Tom Arnold really that popular in the early 90's that they had to have a cameo in this movie??? Horrendously bad.
