This film is really only for fans of the two horror franchises. If you are a fan, you'll likely enjoy the film, but if you're not a fan you'll likely find it ridiculous and not all that interesting.

As a fan I did find the film ridiculous, but it's horror match-up that's irresistible and it's done a lot better than I'd have expected. The film is generally a step up in quality for both franchises, although "New Nightmare" was quite good.

I'd actually say this is among the better entries for each franchise. Lots of horror action right from the start and plenty of horror nods and winks to the horror fans in the audience. My favorite homage was the baseball hat that Katharine Isabelle wears, a la P.

J. Soles in "Carrie". My main disappointment was that the film did not really declare a winner, which I suppose was done so as not to offend fans on one side or the other.
