Review of FRED: The Movie (2010) by Matthew B — 16 Jul 2012
While the film is borderline plotless, that is the least of our worries in this mean-spirited, aggravating, disproportionate, unfunny mess. Fred: The Movie takes a dying internet sensation, and to add insult to injury, stars him alongside Pixie Lott, who unsurprisingly, cannot act outside of smiling at the camera and looking pretty.
It also features a scene in which Fred's classmates put an embarrassing video of him online, which should never, ever be in a film aimed at such a young, impressionable audience.
