Review of Freaks (1932) by Rajneel S — 02 Jul 2008
Spooky and unsettling (for some) drama with tinges of the macabre and visual horror about the members of a travelling circus freakshow is a parade of some of the most famous "freaks" in show business and a flimsy, but compelling, revenge story about two unlikeable normal humans who take advantage of them.
Fascinating, powerful and the third act is an atmospheric kicker. Magnificent and arty filmmaking from the early 1930's and a cult classic.
