Review of Freaks (1932) by Wesley J — 17 Jul 2013
Freaks is less of a horror film and more of a documentary on how abnormalities and deranged people are seen by society. It is a well created film that allows the viewer to empathize with and sympathize for the misfits who are shunned by "normal" people.
Withstanding time, this film is completely relevant to today as it is a social commentary on how people treat people, and many can relate. It is absurd to think this film was banned in many countries for many years.
