Review of Freaked (1993) by Hellholehorror — 16 Feb 2022
This is a totally ridiculous film that is actually quite funny. It is done in the style of a MTV music video but gets quite insane. The comedy is fast-paced and ridiculous. That is the only way it could have been with this kind of movie.
It reminded me of a tame version of Basket Case 2 (1990) and Basket Case 3 (1991). It also reminded me of X-Men (2000) a tiny amount. Freaked seems to have been made for children unlike the Basket Case movies.
Oh yeah, I forgot, this reminds me of Society (1989) as well. There are a bunch of freaks and they have a funny story and little violence or gore to be spoken of. I enjoyed it! It is madness.
