Review of Frantic (1988) by Hubert S — 06 Nov 2010
Harisson Ford (Dr. Walker) gets out of a car EXACTLY at the corner on the Rue de Rivoli where I used to live for 2 years!!! It's the scene slightly over 1:30 minutes into the film where he tries to reanimate a dead guy in a peugeot 607. I have had that view on Tour St. Jaques..ahhh..nostalgia!
Now back to reality...no, I mean: away from reality. This film has too many irrational moments to be a good thriller. Further, Paris only has (unrightfully) stereotype assholes and as always in films featuring Paris cars drive through streets in impossible order. Entertaining. But that's it.
