Review of Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943) by Andrew F — 04 Oct 2007
It's interesting that Bela Lugosi, the studio's original choice for Frankenstein's monster, finally took on the role and ended up being not nearly as good as Karloff. Lon Chaney Jr. is back as Larry Talbot and is actually kind of better in this role the second time.
It's really the first in a long line of "versus" movies, and as such it's not exactly a great film with a well-conceived plot or moments of genuine horror. But, unlike a lot of those movies that would follow, I still think it's fun.
