Review of Frank (2014) by Andrew-Ian B — 20 Sep 2014
There is perfect balance in the world when you find your purpose, your niche, your spirit companion, which cancels out all of your flaws and demons. Only when worldly pressure and the voracity of human desire kick in, is when you are thrown off balance.
Frank, a lead singer who experiences tension from his shift from boyhood to manhood, is shown as the purest character because of his quaint and self-conscious desire to conceal what his boyish flaws. Frank is wonderful in that he lives without mention of his self-consciousness and this physical manifestation of Frank's self-consciousness automatically breaks down all walls of pride or trepidation for him as well as well as others which makes Frank the center of the universe, the shining star, the node. There can only be one Frank, one person who is so genuine that for a moment, we forget the cynicism and poison of humanity. You cannot ruin that innocence.
