Review of Frank (2014) by Tori H — 02 Feb 2015
Frank is a surprising, creative, and deeply depressing film. Its final act can't really sustain itself under the weight of its own ideas, and unfortunately, Maggie Gyllenhaal fails to prove that she has any acting chops under her mainstream success.
The supporting cast is lackluster. However, Fassbender gives a striking performance in the title role and the artful direction and writing makes Frank worth it. The soundtrack is pretty killer, to boot.
