Review of Frank (2014) by Gerb D — 02 Feb 2015
A peculiar little film, that is hard to pigeon-hole in a particular genre (dramedy, I say).
Michael Fassbender, one of Hollywood's most recognisible faces (of recent years), spends the vast majority of the film underneath a large papier mache head. Yet his performance is one of enigmatic, eccentric brilliance.
The film has an almost violent shift in tone in the third act, but remains an engaging piece throughout.
And some of the songs are rather great.
