Review of Frances (1982) by Ian T — 22 Aug 2010
Few Spoilers here: It is a pretty watchable movie and Jessica Lange is great.I found its handling of the kind of artzy rebel Vs square society a little unsubtle. It seemed a bit romantic and onesided. Also considering that details such as, her life long love, "harry" and her lobotomy were just made up you can't help but feel cheated at best or the film makers were a bunch of tabloid sensationalist hypocrites at worst.
