Review of Frailty (2012) by Daniela S — 11 Apr 2009
Up until the ending it's an interesting serial killer B-movie. The unpredictable, clever ending is great, though. As a whole, it's dark, offensive, intense, and original.
Matthew McConaughey was miscast. Early scenes are cliched and corny with bad acting but once it gets going it improves, especially Bill Paxton, who is convincing and frightening. Also it's too well-lit to be believable. It's interesting that some found it to be gory, as no violence is shown onscreen.
7.5/10.
