Review of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) by Komal S — 21 May 2009
The leads have great chemistry together, and the supporting characters are terrific (especially John Hannah's moving scene at his lover's memorial). Still, the script doesn't do MacDowell's character any favors - she works well as a romantic ideal, but for the most part she skirts the edge of likability, gliding through the film without risking much herself.
