FOUR ROOMS (1995).

Starring Tim RothFour Room is a collaboration between four directors with different talent which make it very uneven. Fortunately, the short films get better one after another. Tim Roth is the link between all those stories and he gives one strange but effective performance, kind of reminding us of Buster Keaton in some way. He is the best thing about this film. Its set on New Year's Eve, the Bellhop as to deal with four different rooms in a hotel.THE MISSING INGREDIENT **.

Starring Madonna, Valeria GolinoThis one is about some kind of witches trying to create a potion for I dont remember what. One ingredient is missing and they will need Tim Roth for that.This first segment is easily the most boring of the four. Its pointless, its trying to be cool and original but it never manages to get our interest which is bad cause there are 3 more short films after this one and the audience needs to want to see them. Its filled with chicks and its obvious it was made by a chick, there is nothing wrong with that except its not very subtle.THE WRONG MAN ***.

Starring Jennifer Beals, David ProvalThe following segment has our main character walking on in the wrong room, bringing ice to the wrong people. He witnesses a domestic argument turned wrong.This segment is already much better than the first one, we dont really know what is going on but the dialogues are not too bad and the director is trying something and almost manages to get his point. Unfortunately we never really get to care about the characters and we just want it to end soon to get to another film.THE MISBEHAVERS ***1/2.

Starring Antonio Banderas, Salma HayekA Mexican couple leaves their kids in the room while they go out for dinner and get drunk. They are very little pests and Tim Roth's character has to take care of all their desire. Thigns turn bad when they find a corpse hidden under the bed.This segment was much more interesting, its very funny actually and Antonio Banderas gives an interesting twisted performance. The kids are annoying but they need to be to fit the title. The ending is quite interesting.THE MAN FROM HOLLYWOOD ***1/2.

Starring Quentin Tarantino, Bruce WillisA big shot Hollywood producer invites our main character to take part in a bet. A dude needs to light his lighter ten times in a row or he loses his pinky. The Bellhop is the one who is hired to chop the finger off.This is the Quentin Tarantino segment and its quite interesting cause of the camera work. The dialogues are fun as well but Tarantino made himself the main actor of his film and that was the mistake cause he doesnt have as much talent as an actor than as a filmmaker, his voice ends up being annoying and you just want to tell him to shut up. It ends in a very hilarious way though.
