Accumulative score for this movie reflects my low two star rating... Though this film is one whole story divided up into four separate segments done by four different directors. If it was the last two (directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino) I'd probably give this movie at least a four star rating. As it stands however, TWO bad apples hurt the rest of the film. It is worth your time to stick around to see the final two installments however.

The first part offers you this weird covenant of witches, one of them gets topless and Madonna is in this scene. The second story is just...mindless...a guy thinks Ted (the bellhop) is screwing around with his wife. A gun if involved... Who cares... Watch the second two stories, they are funny and very entertaining.

Although Tarantino has made appearances in his films before, I have to say, despite the first two stories it's fairly close to tolerable with the great acting job he did. (writing and acting). It's probably the greatest acting job of anything I've ever seen him do. And in addition to Tim Roth (Ted the bellhop) you can also look forward to a couple more old friends from the greatest movie ever created (Pulp Fiction) with Bruce Willis and the guy who sold Bruce Willis's character the Red Apple cigarette's (the bartender in Mr. Wallace's hideout/bar).

I'm actually surprised that according to flixster, that 72% of users liked this film, but that's a good thing I suppose. I just hope it's not for the WHOLE film...Kind of an obscure work (half) and passed me by when it originally came out in 1996 as so many things do, though I don't suppose this got much promotion...

At any rate, you should check it out (at least the second half of the movie).
