Review of Four Christmases (2008) by Dan B — 25 Nov 2010
That's 88 minutes of my life I want back RIGHT NOW!! I'm not sure what story they were trying to tell because of all the ridiculous, contrived "comedic" events. If the point was that their relationship was shallow and they didn't know it until they went home for Christmas, um ok. How does a baby deepen a relationship? Now they're just going to break up when the kid goes to college instead of now. Ridiculous.
I don't know who decided on Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, but it didn't quite work. Their performances were ok they just didn't seem to fit together. I gave the movie 1 star for the rest of the cast. The parents were awesome as was Favreau and Yoakam. I'm not sure why they had southern twangs since they were in California. I guess that's something I didn't know about Californians.
