Review of Four Brothers (2005) by Khrysten R — 03 Jun 2009
Well, it was a reasonable movie, one which in no questionable terms modeled off of John Wayne's Sons of Katie Elder.
It was an enjoyable movie and somewhat refreshing. What was refreshing was to see people finally standing up and fixing broke shiz themselves and not always sitting on their butts waiting on the cops. Cops aint Superman, they cant be everywhere at once and they are not bulletproof. Sometimes it takes normal people with a passion to do what is right.
Some negative parts resulting in the lower rating was the language. With more then 100 Swears from the F and S words alone, it was a never ending stream of profanity and blasphemy...
Also, though I liked the swift justice, I was not a fan of the executions of unarmed people. Because if you look at it, they too had moms, and maybe families. They were not robots or Zombies who dont matter. There was no other option really, but it still made me uncomfortable.
And a last quip, wtf was with the boxing match on ice? Why in the world do that, shoot him and get it over with. Whatever, sometimes drama is excessive.
Reasonable movie, but not one I am going to recommend...
