Review of Forrest Gump (1994) by Justin M — 24 Nov 2015
This move is a character study of Forrest Gump and we the audience are shown the various highs and lows that this character experienced. Most people felt a vast range of emotions when watching this movie sad/happy /grace/regret I unfortunately rarely felt any of these emotions throughout the duration of the movie's running time.
I think that in their adult lives Jenny used and manipulated Forrest in every chance she got. I really hate her character. There is a scene which I loathed where Forrest touches Jenny's breast. Imagine if the gender roles where reversed where the male takes sexual advantage of a woman who's IQ is below the norm.
The reason I'm giving this movie 3 stars is that you don't see Tom Hanks in the role but you seem to be watching a real person and that is the greatest compliment that an actor can receive.
