Review of Forever Young (1992) by Steve J — 18 Jun 2007
Forever Young(1992) directed by Steve Miner. This movie has a narrative that illustrates love's endurance and existence throughout the ages. It has great performances by Mel Gibson, Elijah Wood and Jamie Lee Curtis. The narrative is well established throughout the film even though it is a bit far fetched. The writer J.J. Abrams did a great job making sure events and displays found early on in the film set up for future developments. Abrams also did a good job connecting the different time eras found in this film together. This movie is a love story, but with the embedded military plot and the youthful Elijah Wood character, not only can the adult female audience enjoy it, but also the adult male and young adolescent audiences as well. If you haven?t seen this film, check it out when you have a chance. It is a good example of a cinema during the early 1990s, when it didn?t cost nine dollars to go to the show and most families went every weekend.
