Review of Foreign Correspondent (1940) by Jeff B — 10 Feb 2008
Cool Hitchcock film about an English reporter sent to Denmark (or somewhere like that) to get some news on the possible war that's going to break out. So the story's a bit complicated, but that's not really the point of the film (is it ever for a Hitchcock?), it's all about the chase and the innocent guy getting swept up in the middle of a conspiracy.
Fun suspense moments, I loved the windmill scene. And it's also great during some moments when McCrea thinks he knows what's going on when in reality he knows nothing (the bodyguard for instance).
The climax is pretty awesome. Well done.
