Review of Ford v Ferrari (2019) by Dawdlingpoet — 15 Apr 2022
I really enjoyed this film by the end - its a little slow to build plot wise in the first half but the performances by the two main stars (Matt Damon and Christian Bale) are pretty top notch and by the end its really quite gripping.
I found myself wishing (while I was watching it) there was a bit more footage of actual car racing in the first half of the film but I suppose thats me being a bit too lazy and hoping for 24/7 action.
To be fair, the film does have some good character development and it is pretty insightful about the corporate story, even though it is a somewhat long film at just over two hours and twenty minutes long.
I thought its a pretty solid film by the end - I found it quite immersive and gripping. If your a fan of motor racing or like a good biopic (especially a sports biopic) then this film is well worth seeing, yes.
