Review of Ford v Ferrari (2019) by Superbat — 29 May 2021
Ford v Ferrari is as good of a racing movie as I've ever seen. The story (based on true events) is a solid one. The racing sequences are executed well. Christian Bale's spirited performance as Ken Miles is the main standout.
The friendship between Miles and Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) is fun to watch. My main complaint is about this movie is its title. The story is more about the internal rivalry in Ford (and the build up to 1966 Le Mans) than it is about the rivalry between Ford and Ferrari.
Nevertheless, Ford v Ferrari is a must-watch - especially for racing fans.
