Force Majeure. So many people rated this a good Film not me. I thought it was anti men. Apparently the husband left the scene when an avalanche looked like hitting the resturant the family was sitting at. The wife made such a pathetic effort to understand her husbands thoughts on the matter that she did everthing in front of other people to show her husband up as a coward. There are other instances where the husbands friend was made to feel that he too was equally weak in his attitude to his friends position. It was to strengthen the wifes position as a wife who had been let down by her husband.

How could the husband filming ( on his phone) show him running away. Was he filming himself as the wife said his camera showed a man running away. Did not make sense to me. Then after screaming and carring on like a twit he then decided to take his family sking on a day that was windy, wet and almost impossible to see where you were going. But no onward they went out into the wilderness. he said to his wife you follow me. Put the children between us and we will follow the marked track back down the mountain. But no the pathetic wife got lost. No sticking with her children for her. So what happened next Hubby decided to go searching for his wife, dumping the children in the snow and going off looking for her. Miracles do happen. he found her and carried her back to his children ( who he had left again) What, she had no broken bones or even a scratch. in fact as soon as he put her down she started to walk again. Gosh why did the producer do this scene. was it to try and soften his attack on mens fears that the first part of his film was rated on. then to cap it all off he showed the wife again panicing when she wanted to jump off the bus. She did not seem to care about her children then. She wanted off the bus because she thought the driver incapable of driving. She paniced all the other passengers to jump off as well. Interestingly the only person who stayed on the bus was the loose moralled woman she had got to know in earlier scenes.(what did she have to do with this film I will never know? ) So all the poor people on the bus had to walk down the mountain because the wife really showed her true colours. ( she turned out to be a panic merchant) Yes I felt sorry for the husband. He had a wife who was more interested in putting him down than showing any support for him. Shame it did not show him getting the divorce papers in the end. So if you like girlie films then you would probably give it 4 stars. But if you are sick of seeing men put down then you would give it 1.5 stars or even ask for your admittance moneys back. Bob of Preston. Thanks.
