Review of Forbidden Planet (1956) by Tom G — 29 Mar 2008
A great slice of sci-fi parable that has aged surprisingly well for its 50+ years.
With some great effects in the form of the id monster and some brilliant set designs alongside archetypal but good acting and the now standard element of all sci-fi which looks at modern society through a fantastic medium.
I can see why it's so revered as a real touchstone of great sci-fi cinema.
